THANK YOU PACHAMAMA…
Founded 30 years ago by Dr Rocio Alarcon, the IAMOE Centre in Ecuador is a perfectly preserved, 100 hectare, natural museum. It is a sacred site with incredible biodiversity and different habitats. The plant quality is truly astonishing!
The land lies at the foot of the Andes, where the mountains connect to the Amazon. The rolling green hills are a buffer zone - the last line of defense between the Yasuni National Park and the petrol companies that have destroyed the forest surrounding IAMOE to create desolate platforms for their workers to live on. IAMOE is a safe refuge for plants, insects, rodents, birds and animals.
